The path to realize your innovative enterprise in Italy
The Italian Start-Up Visa allows non-EU entrepreneurs to establish an innovative start-up in Italy or join an existing one as an operating partner. The program is managed by the Ministry of Economic Development through the Italia Startup Hub.
Applicants must present a detailed business plan and demonstrate at least β¬50,000 in available funds from personal savings, investors, or incubator support. A letter from a certified Italian incubator is optional but can reduce evaluation time from 30 days to just a few days.
The residence permit is valid for one year and renewable, providing access to tax incentives and public funding for innovation, with a clear pathway to permanent residence.
